Abstract: One of the greatest challenges in translating genomic information into knowledge that can impact the practice of medicine is the lack of information management systems for automated interpretation and decision making. In addition to striving for excellence in clinical genomics profiling and cellular pharmacogenomic data generation, TGen's Pharmaceutical Genomics Division is dedicated to developing bioinformatics tools and information management technologies to facilitate classification of complex genomics data sets into knowledge databases with coherent disease contexts. Specifically, we have taken a drug centric approach to semantic representation of genomic data. We are also creating web portals to enable healthcare professionals to easily access and search all available genomic knowledge to make more informed decisions about how to best personalize therapy.
