Suanne Hackett commenced at Invest Australia in September 2004 to work on investment attraction in the nanotechnology area of the Advanced Manufacturing Team. 

Prior to joining Invest Australia, Ms Hackett worked with Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs in the areas of refugees and humanitarian entrants settlement services.  This included delivering the Federal Government’s world renowned Adult Migrant English Program through tuition service providers and successfully re-tendering the $100m pa Program.

Ms Hackett also has extensive private sector experience including international business development with The Boeing Company and athlete management with News Limited.  She has held consulting positions with Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers and executive management positions with a number of small businesses in the Canberra region.

Ms Hackett has a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Canberra and undergraduate applied science qualifications in medical laboratory science from the same university.
