杨耘教授1984年毕业于安徽大学计算机科学系，1992年获Queensland大学博士学位，现为澳大利亚Swinburne大学信息技术研究中心副主任。研究兴趣包括软件技术、工作流系统、网络计算应用、CSCW以及电子商务等。已在计算机网络、CSCW、软件过程等领域出版1本专著，并发表百余篇论文，研究成果丰硕。杨耘教授担任IEEE、IEEE Computer Society的成员。

Abstract：

Processes are an essential element in any workplace organisation. This talk focuses on workflow support environments. It starts with motivation of applying workflow systems to support processes. It then presents an overview of this area, followed by a discussion on the common shortcomings of the existing environments. A new approach based on the peer-to-peer distributed system architecture is addressed. With this approach, corresponding novel mechanisms for build-time and run-time coordination support for workflow are covered. This talk ends up with a touch on p2p-based grid service workflows and gives a briefing of the research centre.
