Research Activity:
Main topic: Experimental and theoretical analysis of heat, moisture and chemical compounds transport in porous materials
Experimental: field variables of heat, moisture and salt transport - temperature, moisture content, relative humidity, capillary pressure, salt concentration (laboratory conditions, semi-scale conditions, field conditions), thermal, hygric and salt related properties - thermal conductivity and specific heat in wide temperature and moisture ranges (up to 17000C), thermal and hygric expansion in wide temperature and moisture ranges, moisture diffusivity, water vapor diffusion permeability, hydraulic conductivity, sorption isotherms, water retention curves, thermodiffusion, mobility, salt diffusion coefficients, ion binding isotherms
Theoretical: transport phenomena in porous materials – temperature, moisture and salt concentration fields, second-order effects on moisture transport, inverse problems of heat conduction, moisture conduction and salt diffusion
