Quickly Rechargeable Direct Carbon Fuel Cell
-------New type of solid oxide fuel cell using solid carbon as fuel--------
A quickly rechargeable direct carbon solid oxide fuel cell (RDCFC) that used a solid carbon fuel supplied by thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon was developed. In the seminar, this new type of solid oxide fuel cell, which can be used as a compact and portable power unit, will be introduced. This RDCFC after a fuel charging time of only 5 min, maintained a power density of 44.2~50.4 mW/cm2 for 83 min and exhibited these stable characteristics for the cycles of power generation and charging.
