摘要:
Electron spins in quantum dots are promising candidates for quantum bits in quantum information processing. The electron spin decoherence is a fundamental obstacle in exploiting the spin coherence for quantum information application. Among various mechanisms, nuclear spin baths are the most relevant cause of the electron spin decoherence in quantum dots. A quantum theory of the electron spin decoherence in quantum dots due to nuclear spin dynamics will be presented. Based on the quantum theory, schemes of controlling the spin decoherence by designed pulse sequences will be discussed.
