教授简介：

职业经历：Baxter教授是Brigham Young(杨伯翰)大学化学工程系教授，也是国际煤燃烧领域最著名学者Smoot教授创立的Advanced Combustion Engineering Research Center (ACERC, 先进燃烧工程研究中心)的副主任。尤其是Baxter教授在Sandia国家实验室燃烧研究所工作了14年，从事煤和生物质燃烧、气化的基础研究，发表了诸多知名的文章。

研究领域：(1) Diagnostic Development (Pixel-by-pixel temperature measurements; 3D particle shape and size reconstruction; Laser-based particle levitation);

(2) Biomass and Biomass-coal Combustion (Impacts on SCR catalysts; Nitrogen chemistry; Particle shape and size impacts on conversion rates; Flame structure in swirl-stablized flows);

(3) Coal Combustion and Gasification (Slag-refractory interactions; Flame structure; Particle size and shape issues);

(4) Fly ashes in Concrete (Impacts of mixed biomass-coal fly ash; Pozzolanic reactions; Alkali Aggregate Reactions).

    Prof. Baxter在固体燃料气化和燃烧领域造诣很深，是美国能源部资深专家之一，代表Sandia国家实验室出版了很多著名研究报告，希望我校从事燃烧研究的师生踊跃参加，积极交流。
