This talk provides anoverview of Dr. Wu's currently active research projects. They include,

1.Highly available command and control (C2) supporting systems for air operations, Air Force Office ofScientific Research (AFOSR).

2.Directional hearing aid microphones using optical sensing and electronic feedback, National Instituteof Health (NIH).

3.Fault diagnosis and prognosis and reliable flight envelope assessment, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

4.Task driven sensing for network-wide optimization of sensor systems, Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).

After describing the problems to be tackled in each of the projects, Dr. Wu will summarize what research tasks have been accomplished, what remain to be accomplished, what background and skills are needed to conduct research for each of the projects, and finally what opportunities exist in participating in these projects. If there are students in the audience, she will also give a brief overview of the graduate programs in the ECE department of Binghamton University.
