摘要: Ultracold Fermi gas of lithium-6 with tunable interactions is a very rich system in physics. A bias magnetic field is used to tune the gas near a Feshbach resonance, enabling studies from the weakly interacting regime to the strongly interacting regime. In the weakly interacting regime, our recent study of spin current in a Fermi gas provides interesting links to other research areas such as spintronics and nonlinear dynamics. In the strongly interacting regime, the system offers the great opportunities to test quantum many-body theories. In this talk, I will present two experiments on this system ?measurements of inelastic collisions of a two component Fermi gas in the BEC-BCS crossover, and observation of spin segregation and controlling of a spin current in a weakly interacting Fermi gas.
