报告摘要:
The technique of two-dimensional Fourier-transform (2DFT) spectroscopy was originally developed in NMR and implemented in optical region in recent years. Since then, optical 2DFT spectroscopy has developed into a major tool to study the interactions and dynamics in various quantum systems. In this talk, I will present recent results on the study of the coherent optical response of potassium vapor in a thin transmission cell using this technique. Rephasing and non-rephasing spectra of the D1 and D2 transitions are obtained and compared to numerical simulations. Non-radiative Raman-like coherences are isolated using a different 2DFT projection. Also, unexpected two-quantum resonances are observed in potassium vapor using 2DFT SIII technique. These resonances are an indication of many-body interactions in the potassium vapor.
