嘉宾简介：尼古拉斯·德克斯，美国哥伦比亚大学弗朗兹·鲍亚士历史与人类学讲席教授（Franz Boas Professor of History and Anthropology ）。2004年9月起担任哥伦比亚大学副校长、文理学院院长。
他的主要著作有：《空心王冠：一个印度王国的人种历史学》（The Hollow Crown: Ethnohistory of an Indian Kingdom，Cambridge University Press, 1987）; 《精神的种姓：殖民主义和现代印度的建构》（Castes of Mind: Colonialism and the Making of Modern India，Princeton University Press, 2001); 《帝国的丑闻：印度和大英帝国的产生》（The Scandal of Empire: India and the Creation of Imperial Britain ，Harvard University Press, 2006）. 他还主编了《殖民主义和文化》（Colonialism and Culture, University of Michigan Press, 1992）,《文化、权力、历史：当代社会理论文选》（Culture/Power/History: A Reader in Contemporary Social Theory ，Princeton University Press, 1994）, 《接近废墟：世纪末的文化理论》（In Near Ruins: Cultural Theory at the End of the Century，University of Minnesota Press, 1999）。 |
