内容简介:In this talk, brief introduction to fault-tolerant control and cooperative control will be given. Historical development and new challenges in these active research areas will be outlined. Our current research work in this active research area with applications to a set of autonomous indoor quad-rotor helicopter UAVs and wheeled mobile robot test-bed developed at Concordia University will be introduced.

报告人简介:  Dr. Youmin Zhang is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Youmin Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in 1995 from the Department of Automatic Control, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xian, P. R. China. He held several teaching and research positions in Northwestern Polytechnical University, University of New Orleans, Louisiana State University, State University of New York at Binghamton, The University of Western Ontario, and Aalborg University, respectively.

His main research interests are in the areas of monitoring, fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of safety-critical systems; avionics, guidance, navigation, and cooperative control of manned and unmanned aerial/ground/underground vehicles; estimation, identification, modelling and simulation; reliability and fault tolerance techniques in real-time and embedded systems, networked systems, communication and software; advanced signal processing techniques for machining monitoring, diagnosis, prognosis, and control.
