Abstract:

3D display hardware technology is getting matured now, but the

technology on 3D content generation is in its starting point only.

Some devices, such as Fujifilm, Panasonic, and Samsung's dual-lens

cameras/camcorders, can generate stereoscopic images. Some devices,

such as Microsoft's XBox 360 can generate images with depth.

In this talk, we will present a tube mirror based, multi-view,

single camera imaging system that is capable of generating both

stereoscopic images and images with depth. The system can also

switch between 2D and 3D.  Output of this system can be used as

input to a 3D photo frame, a 3D TV, or a 3D PC.
