For elliptic problems and Hamiltonian systems with nonlinearities of linear growth, we talk about xistence of nontrivial solutions without imposing any resonance or non-resonance conditions at infinity. The existence is assured under a twisting of the nonlinearity between the origin and the infinity, and we do not assume an asymptotic of the nonlinearity at the infinity to exist. The novelty of our results is that we allow arbitrary interaction of the nonlinearity and the liner spectrums at infinity.
