In this talk, large scale desalination and energy intensive products
manufacturing in the desert region will be discussed. The model has the
capability of CO2 sequestration by manufacturing urea fertilizer from ammonia
and CO2. To reduce the cost and maintain continuous production a combined solar
energy and fossil energy system will be adopted. The long term social and
economic impact to the world will be discussed.
