欧盟第六框架计划(The EU sixths Framework Programme)是当今世界上最大的官方科技计划之一,根据1998年12月签署的中华人民共
和国与欧洲共同体科学技术合作协定,欧盟科技框架计划对华开放,我国的科研机构可以全面参与该计划,同时我向欧洲开放相应的科技计划。该协定为我国与欧洲开展高水平的科技
合作提供了难得的机遇。
欧盟第六框架计划12月17日开始进入项目征集阶段,同时提供欧盟合作伙伴等信息(可按后文提供的网址查询),本次项目征集包括了第六框架计划所有的项目领域,下文为主要
项目的清单及与之对应的申请期限,请各科研科尽快通知感兴趣的教授、专家在各相应申报期限内进行申报工作。

eHealth, technology enhanced learning and access to cultural heritage.
Life Science, Genomics and Biotechnology for Health (513 Meuro, deadline:
24April 2003)
Advanced Genomics, application of genomics and biotechnology for health and
approaches to medical knowledge, combating cancer, developing vaccines for
poverty related diseases (HIV vaccines, HIV microbicides, understanding
malaria, tuberculosis vaccines).
Nanotechnologies, intelligent materials and new production processes (520
Meuro, deadlines 6 March and 10 April 2003)
Nanotechnologies and applications, multifunctional materials and biomaterials,
intelligent manufacturing systems, waste management and hazard reduction in
production, optimizing the life-cycle of industrial systems, integrating
nanotechnologies and new materials for medical applications.

Aeroplane technologies (many areas), improving environmental impact with regard
to emissions and noise, aircraft safety and security, Air Traffic Management
(ATM), airport efficiency, Global Monitoring for Environment and Safety (GMES),
Satellite telecommunication.
Sustainable Development : Energy (338 Meuro, deadline 18 March 2003)
Renewable energy, energy savings in buildings, alternative motor fuels in
transport systems (biofuels, natural gas and hydrogen), fuel cells and their
applications, hydrogen transport and storage, electrical devices based on high
temperature superconductors, CO2 capture technologies, energy forecasting
methods.

International Cooperation (50 Meuro, deadline 11 September 2003)
Developing Countries (including China): reproductive health, managing humid and
semi-humid ecosystems, reconciling multiple demands on coastal zones,
food security: health of livestock populations (deadline on 11.09.2003).
Human Resources and Mobility
Interesting for China are:
individual fellowships of up to two years for top Chinese scientists to perform
research at a European research organization - the application must be
submitted by the hosting research institution (Marie Curie
IncomingInternational Fellowships, deadline 21 May 2003).individual fellowships
of up to two years for European scientists to perform research in a Chinese
organization - open for all areas of scientific research (Marie Curie Outgoing
International Fellowships, deadline 21 May 2003).Chinese institutions can join
European training networks for early stage researchers and beginning scientists
- including also international PhD programmes (Marie Curie Research Training
Networks and Marie Curie Host Fellowships for Early Stage Research Training,
deadline 2 April 2003).
