Dr Ouyang Huajiang, Reader in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, in the Department of Engineering at the University of Liverpool. He reveived his BEng in Engineering Mechanics in 1982, MEng in Solid Mechanics in 1985, PhD in Structural Engineering in 1989, all from Dalian University of Technology. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Computational Mechanics in 1990-1993 and Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Associate Professor in 1985 ? 1994 at Dalian University of Technology. During 1994-1995, he was a Senior Research Assistant in the School of Engineering, University of Wales Swansea College. From 1995 until now, he firstly was a Research Fellow in Mechanical Engineering, then Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Engineering at the University of Liverpool. His research areas includes: Structural Dynamics (unsteady vibration and nonlinear vibration), Applied Mechanics, and Computational Mechanics.
