报告摘要:
In this seminar improved predicting capabilities of the in house developed solver SPARC applying LES for reacting flow fields will be presented. The solver uses a block structured Finite Volume scheme to solve the compressible Navier-Stokes equation with central differencing up to 4th order accuracy. The approximated Riemann solver HLLC has been recently implemented and compared to above mentioned scheme. Classical subgrid scale models like fixed coefficient and dynamic Smagorinsky models and Monotonically Integrated LES (MILES) and a newly proposed High-passed filtered Eddy viscosity model have been used and compared.

It will be shown that accurate predictions of the above mentioned test cases has been calculated provided that the vortical regions are sufficiently resolved ( up to 11 million points) and that accurate and non-reflecting boundary conditions have been used.

Dr. Franco Magagnato是卡尔斯鲁厄大学流体机械研究所计算流体动力学研究所的主任。其主要研究方向为开发应用于不同领域(如涡轮机、汽车、航空动力学和内燃机等)中的新的物理模型和数值模型。以Dr. Franco Magagnato为主开发的CFD程序SPARC,目前在世界上10多个国家的20多个科研机构(包括MIT、加拿大皇家研究院等)得到了应用和开发。
