I will report my recent research work about Earth's magnetic fields, solar magnetic fields, tides in binary stars, and turbulence. Fluid mechanics and magnetohydrodynamics (i.e. electrically conducting fluid mechanics) are applied to the study of these geophysical and astrophysical phenomena. I will introduce to audience the motivation and basic ideas of the research work and then briefly show the methods and results. |
