报告摘要: Searching for proton decay and other baryon number violation processes is an essential and high-priority goal of particle physics. It is closely related to fundamental topics such as the baryon asymmetry of the universe, the grand unified theories (GUT), and new physics below the GUT scale. With more than 20 years of data-taking and a large fiducial volume, Super-Kamiokande (SK) has presented leading constraints in many modes and covered a large number of possible sources for baryon number violation. In this seminar, I will give a summary of nucleon decay searches at SK so far, highlighting the recent result in p to e+ and pi0 and neutron-antineutron oscillation. I will also introduce the efforts to expand the fiducial volume and use neutron tagging for background reduction. Finally, I will discuss the prospects of these analyses at SK-Gd and Hyper-Kamiokande. 报告人简介: Linyan Wan is a postdoctoral researcher at Boston University.
