报告摘要:
Colloidal nanocrystals (NCs) are an emerging class of building blocks for solution processable electronic, optoelectronic, and thermoelectric devices. However, the insulating nature of the surfactants (also known as ligands) on NC surface hinders the electronic coupling among NCs. In this presentation, I will talk about the concept of inorganic surface chemistry of colloidal NCs, the development of novel inorganic ligands for NCs, and their effects on the performance of NC-based devices. The rational design of the inorganic ligands can introduce various functionalities, including sintering, doping, optical patterning, to the original NCs. Moreover, tailoring the surface chemistry also allows NCs to form stable colloids in unconventional solvents such as molten inorganic salts. Finally, I will briefly talk about the implantable oximeters and wearable light therapy devices and the possibility of integrating nanomaterial chemistry to the advanced optoelectronic materials for healthcare analysis/physiological monitoring. |
