摘要:After a brief discussion of the classical ?Bernstein theorem for solutions of the minimal surface equation in ?$\R^{2}$ and the Liouville theorem for harmonic functions, the talk ?will move on to discuss how such classical theorems have, even up to ?the present day, influenced and aided efforts to understand ?singularities of minimal submanifolds.

报告人简介:Leon Simon is Professor Emeritus from Stanford ?University. His field of interests are Differential geometry, PDE, ?Real analysis, etc.
