  简介:

摘要:

The major computational tool we use for our investigations into immiscible two-phase flow in porous medium is a network simulator that we have refined over the years since 1998.  I will describe the network model and present some recent results based on theory development combined with numerical studies based on this model.  In particular, I will touch upon

1.  Effective Rheology of Fluid Mixtures Flowing under Steady-State Conditions.

2.  A Monte Carlo Method for Immiscible Two-Phase Flow in Porous Media.

3.  A Pseudo-Thermodynamic Description of Immiscible Two-Phase Flow in the Continuum Limit.

报告人简介:

Bio: Prof. Alex Hansen has an expertise in complex matter physics, computational physics, transport and breakdown phenomena in disordered systems, physics of porous media, physics of granular media, non-equillibrium statistical physics, etc. He has conducted many research work about numerical simulation and experiment about two-phase flow in porous media, and has an H-index of 48 based on scholar.google.com.

Prof. Alex Hansen graduated from Universitetet i Oslo in 1981, and received his Ph.D. and MSc. from Cornell University in 1984 and 1986, respectively. From 1992 he is a habilitation at Universit′e de Rennes, France. Now he works as a professor of theoretical physics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and is the Center Director for PoreLab (Porous Media Laboratory) at Norwegian Centre of Excellence. PoreLab is situated at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, and the University of Oslo (UiO). The Centre has a strong emphasis towards collaboration across the groups, works to advance the understanding of flow in porous media from a sound basis in physics, and aims for a better description of flows that range from geological to biological and technological.

Prof. Alex Hansen has a rich experience and collaboration with many universities and research center, as an invited professor in Universit′e de Rennes 1 in 1994, a visiting professor of theoretical and applied mechanics in Cornell University in 1999, and visiting chair professor in Beijing Computational Science Research Center from 2015, etc. He also works as a member of editorial board in European Journal of Physics, editorial board in International Journal of Modern Physics C, editorial board in Journal of Computational Interdiciplinary Sciences, specialty chief editor in Interdisciplinary Physics, Frontiers in Physics, and field chief editor in Frontiers in Physics.
