报告摘要:

Along with the approval and availability of new therapeutic agents, the urge of personalized internal dosimetry for targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) is being recognized and implemented worldwide. In order to maximize the tumor dose, keeping the potential toxicity in critical organs under a certain level and monitor the treatment effects, the conventional fixed or mass-based injection dose regime is obviously deficit and it is necessary to perform the patient-specific internal dosimetry based on patients’ own kinetics data. As compared to the conventional 2D planar imaging technique, quantitative 3D imaging methods, especially SPECT/CT, PET/CT and bremsstrahlung imaging, can provide the spatial distribution of TRT theranostic tracers on a voxel level with improved quantitative accuracy. Following quantitative imaging, the use of a streamlined 3D dosimetric software with functions of volume-of-interest segmentation, image registration, time-activity-curve fitting and dose conversion is essential for successful clinical dosimetry practice. Here we present an overview of some of the fundamental principles and available software for TRT dosimetry.

报告人简介:

Prof. Greta Mok graduated in Biomedical Imaging and Radiological Sciences from National Yang-Ming University in 2003, and received her Ph.D. in 2009 in Environmental Health Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. From 2009-2010 she was a Research Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She later joined University of Macau and currently serves as an Associate Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Health Sciences. She is now a visiting scholar in Department of Radiology, University of Massachusetts Medical School, USA. Prof. Mok’s research interests include physics and engineering development for various medical imaging modalities, particularly single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT). She has also developed practical computational tools for targeted radionuclide therapy. She is the recipient of various international awards including Best Scientific Poster Award (2nd place), International Best Abstract Award and 2018

Tracy Lynn Faber Award at the 57th, 64th and 65th SNMMI Annual Meeting respectively. Currently she is the principle investigator of 4 funded research projects, director of Biomedical Imaging Laboratory and founding president of Macao Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
