Abstract: We consider the dynamics of vacuum state for entropy weak solutions to the compressible Navier-Stokes on bounded domain, and give a complete description on the time evolution of vacuum for both short time and large time. The vanishing of finite vacuum state in finite time is shown for any global entropy weak solutions, and the blow-up phenomena is proven as the vacuum state vanishes. This is joint work with Jing Li and Zhouping Xin.
