  简介:

The quantum confinement, proximity effects and specific structure occurring at material interfaces have led to the discovery of numerous novel physical and chemical phenomena These revelations offer unprecedented opportunities for tailoring material properties and advancing the realm of interface-based devices. To comprehend the microscopic intricacies of these interfaces and optimize their efficiency, the development of in-situ detection and manipulation methods, particularly those sensitive to interfaces, becomes imperative.

This invited talk will discuss the realm of interface science, focusing on cutting-edge methods in interface-sensitive nonlinear spectroscopy. Highlighting the role of nonlinear optical spectroscopy as a pivotal analytical tool, we will explore its significance in studying light-matter interactions and material properties in situ. The discussion will extend to the emerging field of interface-sensitive terahertz nonlinear spectroscopy, presenting a novel dimension in our ability to probe interfaces. The presentation will showcase various applications of these advanced spectroscopic techniques in analyzing the microstructure of interfaces and unraveling the intricacies of chemical reaction processes.
