Yun Hang Hu received his Ph.D in physical chemistry from Xiamen University, where he was an Assistant Professor (1990-1992) and an Associate Professor (1992-1994). After being a Visiting Scholar at the State University of New York at Buffalo (1995-1998), he served as a Senior Engineer at the ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company (1998-2002) and as a Research Full Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo (2002-2007). In 2007, he joined Michigan Technological University as an assistant professor. He has published 90 scientific papers with 1400 citations in the areas of energetic materials, nano-structured materials, catalysis, surface science, quantum chemistry calculations, and advanced fuels.
