  简介:

内容简介:
Digital Silk Roads Project (DSR) aims at building information infrastructure for not only archiving but also connecting and annotating the variety of cultural resources. The project started in the year 2001, and we have made digital archives of Silkroad-related cultural resources such as rare books of Toyo Bunko, the 3D model of the Citadel of Bam (Iran), and photographs taken at various historical places along Silk Roads.
Technical aspects of this project includes image and natural language processing, indexing of various types of data, and making support tools for managing cultural resources, while usability aspects include the design of multiple entry points for various users, such as scholars, the general public, and kids.
