Virtually every top university in the United States has now broadened its engineering curriculum to include the study of entrepreneurship and innovation. This is because technical skills alone are not sufficient to foster the creation

of new industries. Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu will present the holistic approach used at Berkeley to develop an ecosystem and curriculum to promote innovation and technology entrepreneurship, and he will share success stories of startups that grew into multi-million dollar companies.
