演讲题目:Embodied Being: Evolution and the Emergence of the Human Person
提纲:
Professor Hurlbut starts off with two brief vignettes from human life, one about a private 747 jet, and the other about a hungry child in Africa, both of which raise questions related to the concept of human dignity. He has been a member of the president’s Council on Bioethics, since 2002. He is author of Altered Nuclear Transfer, a proposed technological solution to the moral controversy over embryonic stem cell research.
