CV
Dr. Shan-hui Hsu obtained her Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from National Taiwan University (1981), Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from National Taiwan University (1985), and Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (1992). She soon started her teaching career as an associate professor of Chung Yuan Christian University (Chungli, Taiwan) in 1992 and later joined National Chung Hsing University (Taichung, Taiwan) in 1996, where she became full professor in 2000 and distinguished professor in 2007. Since 2009, she is a professor of Polymer Science and Engineering in National Taiwan University. Dr. Hsu has published more than 120 papers (SCI papers over 110). She currently has 11 patents and 9 pending patents on biomaterials technology. Her research interests include biomaterials design for medical devices and tissue engineering, especially in vascular, peripheral nerve and cartilage systems.
