Francois Mathey got his Bachelor’s degree in Ecole Polytechnique, Paris in1963, and PhD in University Paris Ⅵ in 1971. Prof. Mathey’s research interests are mainly on organophosphorus, transition metal chemistry and homogeneous catalysis. He has made great contribution to these fields and got many awards such as CNRS silver metal in 1979, Paul Langevin award of the Academie des Sciences, France in 1985. In 2009, he got the State Friendship award of China. Prof. Mathey was the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the member of the American Chemical Society, the Leopoldina Academy, the French Academy of Sciences, Academia Europaea and the European Academy of Sciences. Prof. Mathey was the directeur de recherche 1st class, then “classe exceptionnelle” CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) and was distinguished professor of University of California-Riverside. Now he is employed as the director of International Phosphorus Lab, Zhengzhou University
