讲座概述:Lectures in Computational Tire Mechanics
The field of computational tire mechanics is wide and important for current design and research in tire and automotive industry. The envisaged series of lectures is intended to give a general overview and deeper introduction into this important and specialized field.
Lecture 2 Tire structure safety and modeling (90 minutes)
Durability is one of the most important design aspects for tires in order to ensure the quality of the product and its savety relevant features over its lifetime. The integrity of the structure needs to be evaluated and predicted by applying physical approaches. Basic phenomena in damage and fracture of rubber are shown by experimental and numerical results. Based on these principal investigations, relations to the tire structure are explained and certain factors influencing durability are discused. Moreover, numerical modelling which is state of the art nowadays is introduced.
