摘要:With projections indicating an increase in mobility over the next few decades and annual flight departures expected to rise to over 16 billion by 2050 there is a demand for the aviation industry and associated stakeholders to consider new forms of aircraft and technology. This presentation will describe a collaboration with a focus on innovation methods and engineering tools between a large team of Innovation Design Engineering students from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art and Airbus to explore and develop concepts for future aircraft.
简介: Peter Childs is the Professorial Lead in Engineering Design at Imperial College London. His general interests include: creativity and creative methods; mechanical design; rotating flow; sustainable energy component, concept and system design. He was formally the director of InQbate, the HEFCE funded Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Creativity, director of the Rolls-Royce supported University Technology Centre for Aero-Thermal Systems and a professor at the University of Sussex. His role at Imperial includes being the joint course leader for the Industrial Design Engineering degree at the Royal College of Art and working with Design London.
