BIO: Dr. Broich is a spatial scientist who uses data from optical earth observation satellites to quantify changes of the land surface. He holds a MS from the Technical University of Aachen in Germany and a PhD from South Dakota State University, USA a research institution located next to the largest civilian remote sensing data archive. His PhD work focused on advancing the quantification of humid tropical forest cover loss using Landsat and MODIS in sampling and wall-to-wall mapping approaches. |
