兰斯·班尼特（Lance Bennett），美国华盛顿大学政治学教授，获耶鲁大学政治学博士学位。曾获由美国政治学会颁发的谢茨施耐德奖（E.E.Schattschneider Award）、里沃罗尔传播研究协会颁发的通讯政策研究奖（Communication Policy Research Award）等。出版了《新闻：政治的幻象》（News: The Politics of Illusion）、《政治思想与政治环境：对政治意见和政治意识的调查研究》（The Political Mind and the Political Environment: An Investigation of Public Opinion and Political Consciousness），《美国政治中的公共意见》（Public Opinion in American Politics. Harcourt Brace Jovanovich），以及《法庭上的事实重构：美国文化中的公平与正义》（Reconstructing Reality in the Courtroom: Justice and Judgment in American Culture）等多部著作。
