Abstract:
In this talk I will present the recent research works conducted in our laboratory about laser-induced plasma. These works concern on the one hand, the fundamental of the plasma and especially the behavior during its propagation into the ambient gas. Temporally, spatially and spectrally resolved studies reveal the morphology and the internal structure of the plasma. We study then the dynamics of the plasma in interaction with the laser radiation and the ambient gas during its expansion. On the other hand, the applications with laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) developed in our laboratory touch several domains of biological imaging, plastics waste sorting, cultural heritage protection, environmental pollution…
