Prof. Nishan Canagarajah is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Bristol. UK. The Faculty is one of the top engineering institutions in the UK, ranking consistently at the top of all UK universities’ Engineering Faculties.

The presentation will cover research and education programmes at the Engineering Faculty, University of Bristol.

Prof Canagarajah will also talk about research in image processing, in particular image compression and content analysis, in which he is an internationally leading expert.

Prof Siyuan Yu, who is Professor of Photonic Information Systems in the Faculty, will talk about Photonics Research in general, from Photonics integration up to systems and network levels research activities.
