The presentation will cover the breadth and scope of training, education, and research provided by IFSI to firefighters, emergency managers, and research on a national and international level.  From basic skills training to high-end special skill rescue, IFSI is nationally recognized as a leader in firefighter training.  Emphasizing practical hands-on training, IFSI courses focus on getting the students out of the classroom and on the training ground where they are expected to demonstrate the actual skills, tactics, techniques, and procedures they will use on the fire ground or incident scene.  In research, IFSI continues to partner with nationally recognized universities and public-private research organizations in order to further the effort in life safety and fire engineering research.
