Dr. Ernst Winklhofer is with AVL List G.m.b.H in Austria.
He is physicist by profession and is responsible for the　development and　application of optical diagnostics　techniques in IC engines.
He has over 25 years professional experience in the field of engine combustion diagnostics.
He has authored and co-authored numerous papers and　book contributions on flow and combustion related topics　in diesel and gasoline engines.
He has a part time assignment as visiting Professor to the　Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm to supervise　doctoral students in engine related research projects.
