报告摘要
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a molecular imaging modality enabling quantitative measurements of biochemical and biological processes in by detecting radioactivity of decaying isotopes. Clinical PET imaging technology has been used in many important areas clinically, such as cancer diagnosis and management, cardiology and cardiac surgery, neurology and psychiatry, etc. Basic PET physics and molecular imaging background will be reviewed. Different approaches for improving PET resolution will be discussed.
