Prof Stephen Sitch holds a Chair in Climate Change, and his research focuses on the role of land vegetation in the Earth System. Prof Sitch is a world leader in dynamic global vegetation modelling (DGVM), and contributing author for the last 3 IPCC reports. Sitch contributes to development of the JULES land-surface model, was theme leader in plant physiology to 2010, vegetation dynamics & disturbance to 2014 and is now leader of community experiments. He was the DGVM intercomparison lead for TRENDY (Global Carbon Project), won ISI highly cited researcher in 2014 and has 116 papers, >15064 citations and an h-score=55 (ISI)
