摘要: Photoacoustic imaging (PAI), including photoacoustic microscopy and tomography, is an emerging modality that shows great potential for clinical research from organelles to Organs. Photoacoustic microscopy is renowned for the high-contrast in vivo vascular imaging in deep tissues in the visible optical region. Recently, photoacoustic microscopy has been successfully extended to the ultraviolet region for cell nuclei imaging and the near-infrared region of lipids imaging. Now we further explored PAI in the mid-infrared region that contains rich molecular vibrational information. Our method addresses the low-contrast and low-resolution issues existed in conventional infrared microscopy. This technique can help boost the development of label-free histology. Second, the strength of photoacoustic tomography has been demonstrated in high-resolution imaging of small animal and human organs with centimeters depth. We recently developed a human-breast photoacoustic tomography system that can image a whole breast at high resolution within a single breath hold, which will help the non-invasive breast cancer screening. Finally, the prospects of photoacoustic imaging will be highlighted.

 

报告人简介:施钧辉博士于2007年毕业于中国科技大学化学物理系,2013年获得美国普林斯顿大学博士学 位。2014年2月至10月于美国宾夕法尼亚大学放射科开始从事超极化核磁成像的博士后研究。 2014年11月后到圣路易斯华盛顿大学从事光声生物成像的研究,师从该领域的先驱汪立宏教授; 2017年后跟从汪立宏教授实验室搬迁到加州理工学院继续从事相关研究,直至2019年底。2018 年至今,同时兼职担任武汉和视光声科技公司技术总监(CT0)。
