赵云 简介 博士,研究员,博士生导师。入选国家专项人才计划青年项目、辽宁省优青、大连化物所“张大煜青年学者”。2013年于中国科学院大连化学物理研究所获得博士学位,曾在美国特拉华大学从事博士后研究。主要研究领域为碱性阴离子交换膜、直接氨燃料电池、电化学CO2捕获等。在Nature Energy,Nature Nanotechnology,Joule, Angew. Chem. Int.等学术期刊上发表论文30余篇,申请发明专利10余项,授权10余项,其中美国授权专利3项、PCT授权专利1项。 Low Temperature Direct Ammonia Fuel Cells for Carbon-Neutral Transportation Alternative carbon-neutral fuels are needed to decarbonize the transportation sector. In this presentation, we analyze the economics of hydrogen-, nitrogen-, and carbon-based fuels made by carbon-neutral pathways in a post-fossil world where only water, air, and renewable electricity are available for fuel synthesis, showing that ammonia has the lowest source-to-tank energy cost by a significant margin. With this technoeconomic analysis as motivation, we try to develop a new fuel cell technology of low temperature direct ammonia fuel cells for carbon-neutral transportation. In this presentation, factors that enable a high-performance of direct ammonia fuel cells (DAFCs) are discussed, including high operating temperature, a high-temperature-stable hydroxide exchange membrane, ammonia-tolerant platinum-group-metal (PGM)-free cathode catalysts, and hydrophobic cathode structure. As a result, we achieve a peak power density of 400 mW cm-2 by a hydrophobic spinel cathode and the corresponding design of 75 W DAFC stack, demonstrating the sate of the art in DAFC technology.
