     As an inorganic chemist, Dr. Li has broad experience in the fields of heterogeneous catalysts, inorganic absorbents, inorganic ion exchangers, glasses, ceramics, and energy storage materials.He has published about 50 peer-reviewed scientific papers and has given 76 presentations at national and international scientific conferences in these areas. He also holds three US patents, and has seven US patent applications on file. Currently, Dr. Li is a project manager and lead principle investigator at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. At this position, he has both research management and technical  supervisory responsibilities for the execution of governmental and industrial projects. In the past two years, he led five different research projects developing new heterogeneous catalysts and inorganic absorbents.
