Charlotte Grezo
Group Director, Corporate Responsibility Strategy, Centrica
Charlotte Grezo is Group Director, Corporate Responsibility Strategy at Centrica with a remit to work with the Chief Executive, Executive Committee and Board to shape and lead the CR agenda across the group. She has reviewed CR at Centrica as result of which a new strategy was agreed and is being implemented. The strategy focuses on Centrica’s role in delivering energy for a low carbon world
Prior to this Charlotte was managing director and Lehman Brothers’ global head of Sustainability, based in London. This was a new role with a remit to establish and lead the sustainability function within a major investment bank. Immediate priority was on the delivery of policy, strategy, governance and programmes and the establishment of a global sustainability function. The role included acting as President of Lehman’s Council on Climate Change.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers in 2007, Dr. Grezo served as the director of Corporate Responsibility for Vodafone Group. In this role, she oversaw the development and implementation of the company’s Corporate Responsibility strategy, policy, public reporting and performance measures. This programme was ranked #1 in a 2006 Fortune ranking of companies’ socially responsible business practices. Previously, Dr. Grezo worked at BP as director of Global Environmental Issues where she led the company’s programmes on climate change (including the development and implementation of the BP emissions trading scheme), biodiversity and water. She led the oil and gas delegation at the Kyoto Conference, and also worked on Global Fuel Product Strategy. She has also served as deputy general secretary for the International Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association. |
