Prof. Pyykkö is one of the pioneers in relativistic quantum chemistry, and
well‐known in theoretical inorganic chemistry. He is a member of
several academies like Suomalainen Tiedeakatemia, Royal Academy of
Arts and Sciences in Uppsala, Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften,
and Academia Europea, and currently the President of two, The Finnish
Society of Sciences and Letters (Finska Vetenskaps‐Societeten), and the
International Academy of Quantum Molecular Sciences (IAQMS). He
chairs the Editorial Board of PCCP. He has nearly 300 papers, see
