Quantum computer is believed to be able to perform tasks that are not intractable by classical computers. One of the key applications of quantum computer is to solve quantum
many-body problems through simulation; this goal can be achieved by three steps, namely, state preparation, time evolution, and measurement. In this talk, recent theoretical and
experimental progresses achieved by our group and others will be reviewed. The practical challenges for quantum simulation and possible solutions will be discussed. |
