报告摘要:The LHCb detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will undergo a major upgrade during the next long shutdown 2018/19 in order to collect data at a much higher luminosity. The higher detector occupancy and higher radiation level leads to a replacement of the current downstream tracking stations by the Scintillating Fibre (SciFi) Tracker. The SciFi Tracker consists of plastic scintillating fibre as its active volume, readout by state-of-the-art multi-channel Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) arrays. Latest results of the radiation hardness of the scintillating fibre and the SiPM arrays, the custom designed PACIFIC ASIC, the front-end electronics and the testbeam performance of the prototype module will be presented. 报告人简介:Xiaoxue Han is currently a postdoc at the physics institute of Heidelberg University, Germany. Since 2013, she has been working on the Scintillating Fibre Tracker upgrade for the LHCb experiment at CERN. In 2004~2013, she studied in the Department of Engineering Physics in Tsinghua University, where she obtained both the bachelor and PhD degree in Nuclear Science and Technology. During her PhD studies, she participated in an international collaboration project - the Positron and Electron Balloon Spectrometer (PEBS), on which she did her doctoral thesis on the readout and calibration method of the PEBS Electromagnetics Calorimeter. She is experienced in development, testing and integration of electronics in particle physics experiments in particular using Silicon Photomultipliers as the high-speed, high-sensitivity photo-detector.
