【报告内容】 This presentation will give an overview of research areas sponsored in Engineering by the National Science Foundation. After briefly describing the National Science Foundation, the presentation will focus on the research foci of the different divisions and emerging research areas. The presentation will also address the types of research awards, processing of proposals and how they are reviewed, but will also discuss how new ideas for research topics are generated. Question and answer session will follow with a goal to identify areas of collaboration.
